Money…
Sigh, do we need to talk about money Well, yes and no. We’ll give you an idea of what’s going on, and what that means… we’ll leave that up to your imagination…
Inflation in Poland in 2022 was… 14.37 percent. Since our rental contract + administration costs (water, waste, etc.) are directly linked to inflation, our contract is therefore adjusted every year, our new rental contract has just been received and has therefore also increased by 14.37 percent. But we’re not there yet…. Because there is something else….
When we moved to Poland, we received (approximately) 4.7 Zloty for every euro. We now receive 4.4 Zloty for every euro. That does not seem like much, but that is 8.3 percent less…. Since our funding comes primarily from euro and dollar countries, and we really have to convert everything to zlotys, really everything (!) has become 8.3% more expensive, and that’s not counting the inflation…
We have now received a new rental contract…. And if you add everything up, the lease + administration costs have not increased by 14.37%, but by 14.37 + 8.3 = 22.7 percent.
It is clear that this has consequences… rest assured, we are certainly not out in the cold, but it does mean that we can help fewer people that we would like to help because we can only spend every Zloty once… Who will help? (Click)
