The mission of the Emmy Foundation is to foster health, healing, and wellness for people of all ages in a compassionate and loving environment consistent with the Christian principles on which we were founded.
It is rooted in the belief that we minister to the whole person, recognizing that a person’s faith in God should be utilized, strengthened, and nourished. Accordingly, we respect and care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those we serve.
The vision of the Emmy Foundation is to be the hands of Christ through expressions of mercy and love. We aspire to live out our ministry of healing and caring to fulfill the need for quality services offered in a Christian environment. We seek to provide an ever-widening and enriched continuum of high-quality services. We commit ourselves to the Christian principles on which we were founded, thereby enabling us to carry out God’s work with integrity and compassion.
Matthew 25:40b “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.”
We subject our lives to the truth of Scripture, and we rely on God through prayer. God alone provides what is necessary to carry out global mission, enabling us to speak His words, use His gifts and reflect His love.
The whole Gospel. Nothing more, nothing less.
Gospel ministry, evangelism, demands honesty. It demands that we tell people the whole truth, not part of it, but all of it. And this kind of gospel honesty is the only acceptable ministry as far as our Lord is concerned; anything less than this falls short of our calling. And the truth is, honestly, that the gospel is both glorious and dangerous. It is eternally enriching, and it is eternally ruining. The gospel has the power to compound joys everlastingly and to compound sorrows everlastingly. The gospel will escalate pure pleasure forever or escalate pure pain forever. After hearing the gospel with a measure of understanding, no sinner is the same – no, not in time, and certainly not in eternity.
We see the day when the people of God from every tribe, tongue, people and nation will be gathered around the throne of heaven, worshiping Him. We seek to work with creativity and flexibility to realize this unchanging vision in our ever-changing world.
Compelled by Christ’s love, we go to serve, not to be served, so that the whole world may be reconciled to God through Jesus.
We see the potential of the body of Christ everywhere. We work together in teams characterized by unity, trust and acceptance, benefiting from mutual accountability. This community can be a strong demonstration of the grace and peace of God in a divided world.
