I want to, but I can’t…
She says that she has something in her that prevents her from taking steps. She wants to shape her life here by learning the language, looking for work, perhaps doing a course or training somewhere. But every time she wants to do something, something stops her. She makes a wringing gesture with both hands in front of her chest. She mentions that it is some kind of stone.
That is a nice start of an image and I asked her to portray it. Below you can see the result. She’s stuck in a rock somewhere and doesn’t know how to get out of here. She can no longer stand upright, and there is a huge boulder in front of her with sharp points.
Understandably, she can’t take steps this way.
In this situation, she needs support, this support is represented by the bamboo frames.

When I ask her what this lady needs in her situation in the mountain, she points to the light.
I asked her to make a new collage with this.
In the new collage, the light from the head has changed into a light from within at the place of her heart, depicted in a flower. Where there used to be wringing hands, an openness, light and strength is now visible. The collage radiates peace and strength and is about growing, blooming and bearing fruit.
She says she knows this feeling very well.
She will place this collage in her home to remind herself of her inner strength and light, and how she can grow and thrive in that strength when the rock stops her from taking steps.
