Life is just an illusion
Struggling with life-changing choices, she makes a tree of how she feels now and a tree of how she felt last weekend, when she made a choice. But even if she chose then, the doubt creeps up and won’t let her go.

This is how she feels right now…
Based on this image, she writes down everything she sees in sentences and words. Then she writes down all the associations she has with it. A poem is made from these words and sentences:
Where is life?
It’s all an illusion
Red leaves fall
Where is life?
Mountain water flows through the roots
Not a single lump of earth is left
Where is life?
It’s all an illusion.

Do not be afraid
The tree is full of ladders
Easy to climb
Do not be afraid
There are many seeds in the ground
Square roots – why don’t they form one whole?
Do not be afraid
The tree is full of ladders
Uprooted from her life in Ukraine, she tries to decide where to put her roots in the ground now. Back to Ukraine where there is a certain stability (home, work, son), but also enormous uncertainty because bombs are falling less than 30 km from her house. Or stay in Poland, where everything is new, where she does not speak the language, has no job and no home, but where her daughter lives?
She finds the answer herself.
She can let go of the old and take root in a new place. Regardless of whether others understand, regardless of opinions of others, she may let go of the old and start over.
