Is that for me?
Fled to Poland with only one backpack. All documents, some underwear, toiletries, a clean set of clothes and a towel. And then the bag was more than full…That’s all they had with them when they arrived in Poznan.
In the meantime they have been given clothes, they live from the food bank and on the kindness of others where they are allowed to live in the house. No work yet, no income yet. Whenever possible, their husband sends them money, giving them some income. But it is not much.
Then, when there is some money, a coloring book and crayons are bought for the children, clothes for the children, everything for the children. They are satisfied with what they get.

Thanks to your support, we were able to give a drawing set in the art therapy: a drawing pad, a pencil, a black drawing pen and a set of color pens and markers.
“Oh wow, this is really the first thing for me, just me…”
“I had already looked at such a drawing pad a few times, but I couldn’t afford it. I love this paper so much!”
“This is exactly what I wanted for myself!”
“This is exactly what I need”…
A few reactions that came, gratitude, silence, joy…
Yes, it’s a present for you. But it is not without obligation!
With this gift comes homework: take a moment for yourself every day by working in your art journal.
Well that’s not a punishment!
One lady holds the booklet in front of her handbag: “Look! Fits right in! Can I take the booklet with me to the park when I have to wait in long lines for my turn.” All kinds of possibilities arise.
Each week we will cover a different technique that can be used with art journalling.
And so they get more and more skills to clear their head – just a moment for themselves.
Have fun drawing!
