Which masks do you wear?
The therapy session in the open therapy group today is about wearing masks.
We all have masks that we put on and take off depending on who we’re dealing with.
What do we show and what not? And do we consciously choose to do so, or do past experiences and/or fear play a leading role?
As always in therapy, there is no right or wrong. What we want in therapy is to create awareness so that everyone can consciously make a choice in what they do or do not want to show to others.

A number of participants find out that they show much less than they would like. They hide behind a mask and show what they expect the other person to want to see. One of them called this “socially desirable behavior”. If you keep doing that long enough, it gets very complicated. And if so… are you still yourself? Realy?
How about you?
Are you aware of your masks?
Can you consciously put them on and take them off, and do you choose?
And when it comes to a loved one or God – do you dare to take off all the masks?
