Regular exercise can help relieve depression and anxiety by releasing feel-good endorphins, among other things. Endorphins are natural brain chemicals that can improve feelings of well-being. Apart from those endorphins, exercise is also good to get you “out of your head” for a while. For a moment, you come out of the world that is so confusing to you. Sport is therefore an excellent combination for clients we help with therapy.
For that reason, we sometimes give a very select group of refugees a gym membership for a month or longer if they cannot afford it themselves. Then the therapy we give them works even more effectively.
If we want to give them one month of gym membership (always in combination with therapy) it costs about 40 Euro per person per month. Can you help us to help them get better with this combination of therapy and gym? (click)
