Today we finally had a normal Sunday. Nice and calm.
First we went to the Russian-speaking church (not everyone who comes there is from Russia, on the contrary: 1 person is from Russia and the rest from Ukraine and Belarus)
During the sermon, M went to the food bus for the homeless and other visitors.
Walking to the bus, bought some stuffed animals for a few bucks at a flea market he tumbled upon, which were immediately given away to children who could use one. A great lesson for the children who sold them, that giving away is more beautiful than receiving.
Meanwhile, got some cookies and then gave those cookies away to the homeless people who were waiting for the food bus to arrive.
Sponsored 60 meals for the food bus, where they had a great(!) sermon.
Then to another park with some friends from Belarus.
And then it was 6:00 PM, back home and doing the dishes from yesterday’s gourmet session.
That’s right… that was a normal Sunday. It also gives an idea of what Sundays were like in recent weeks/months, if this was “normal” and “quiet”. Tomorrow there will be another day.
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.
