Bye Amersfoort….

The day after… What a beautiful day it was yesterday… To be with your “family” and friends in Amersfoort. Talking about anything and everything…. share experiences that we can’t share anywhere else…. neither for privacy nor security reasons….

And when more than 30 people come to “you” for coffee… it makes us VERY happy. That gives energy and we hope to have given the “coffee drinkers” a little more insight into a completely different world… where God is working hard, and we try to do a little bit to make the world a bit more beautiful … as long as you can.

For everyone who couldn’t come for coffee, just one story we could share yesterday….

Just before leaving for the Netherlands, we heard that a Ukrainian refugee family needed crockery….. But now it comes….

Yes, of course we could go to Ikea and buy stuff for them (if we had the money at all, but that’s a completely different issue), but now it comes…. we were absolutely not allowed to do that.

They asked us, to ask our friends from the church in the Netherlands. Huh? Why?

Because that is their family… their divine family… which they had never seen before, i.e. never will see them either.. but in that way they did have “contact” with them. For them, that is a huge encouragement, your family divine is thinking of you…

And after one call to the Baptist Church of Amersfoort…. everything was arranged… plates, cutlery, cups… all complete. Received, from your “family”…..

Reminded me of the following verse:

19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him, you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

Ephesians 2

It was a blessing to see our friends and divine family… and we miss them so much…. but what a joy it is to have them. Very special indeed.
