Your legacy…
It is March 14, 2024 as I write this, and it will be sometime after June 12, 2024 before you can read this. The reason is that we have so much good news that we literally have a waiting list for it before we can share it. And that got me thinking:
That’s 90 days later, and I may not be here anymore. You never know what tomorrow will bring, right?
I was recently visiting a cemetery in another city and there were open graves that had been emptied and left open. Really, a hole in the ground with nothing left in it. And one day that will happen to me too. I am no longer here on earth, I am gone and in heaven.
But whether I’m still here or not doesn’t matter, that good news will keep coming for a while. A kind of legacy that people continue to live with, no matter what happens. I will remain active for a while. In this case, it is a blog that has a work “waiting list”, but at some point it will be empty… and then what?
And suppose… tomorrow your candle goes out… what is your legacy? What good news keeps coming, and how do people look back on it? If you think about this, you can also think about what you would like to do now and what not only has “value” now, but also has value after your death. That’s actually quite nice to think about, and also something to work on. Today. Because tomorrow… I have no idea.
Oh, coincidence or not, today’s (March 14, 2024) bible verse was:
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.
Matthew 24:35
Nah, that’s not a coincidence.
