Why are our blog posts sometimes a mess?
Our blog posts jump from one topic to another. But why is that?
Well… you’re basically reading along with whatever we’re experiencing and the conversations we’re having. You don’t see all of them, but the ones that stood out do make it online. If a conversation was interesting enough to share, we post it. But honestly, that’s not always the main reason…very often it’s not…
We all go through moments of joy, sadness, fear, uncertainty, and happiness. And surprisingly, the questions that come with those are often pretty similar.
For us, every day is a challenge (or a struggle, depending on how you look at it…) to make the best use of the time and money we still have. And honestly? How amazing would it be if we had nothing left to do here! But yeah, the world isn’t perfect—far from it—and we’re pretty busy.
That’s why we often share our blog posts for preventive reasons. We hope that someone searching (online) stumbles upon us (virtually) before they get stuck, things go (even more?) wrong… and they actually have to come over and start a process that can sometimes take months. If that’s needed, no problem—our door is always open. But if we can help prevent problems before they even start, we’d rather do that.
Think of it like firefighters and fire prevention.
Our blog posts are often a form of prevention—so the firefighters don’t have to rush out as often.

Sometimes, we also write blog posts specifically for one person at one specific moment. If an answer is too complicated to explain in just a few minutes, it can help to take our time and put together a solid(!) response—with all the references included—and then just send the person a link to the blog. And guess what? It works!
And lastly, we can see how many people read a blog post (we can’t see who reads it, just how many do). That helps us figure out if a topic is “hot” and whether we should spend more time on it. What’s on people’s minds right now? What’s keeping them up at night? That kind of insight helps us use our resources even more efficiently.

At first glance, it might look like chaos, but if you look closely, there’s a trend: Four of these posts are about taking Bible verses out of context (and ending up in quicksand with all the mess that comes with it), three are about seeking direction in life with God, and the rest… or maybe the combination of it all… we’ll leave that up to you to figure out. 🙂
So next time you think, “Why are these blog posts all over the place again?” … Yep, that’s right. Our life is like that too. Every single day. 🙂
