We need your financial support.
As you know, we are moving to Germany, where we will be doing the same work as we have been in Poland. Only the location will change, while our work remains the same. Although we are wrapping up with clients and contacts in Poland, our activities continue, and we are also already working in Germany (remotely if needed).
Examples
To give you an idea: we are moving on December 1st, and by December 7th, missionaries are scheduled to arrive for a debriefing. We already have several requests for therapy and coaching in Germany from people eager to begin as soon as possible. At the same time, we are continuing a number of client sessions online while managing the logistics of migration and immigration.
Administration
The administrative work to obtain all documents required for registration in Germany, as well as setting up utilities, internet, etc., is well underway, along with completing paperwork in Poland and sorting out the necessary steps in the correct order. Regulations in Germany differ by municipality, and “Poland is Poland”…
Stress Levels
Due to the high workload involved in handling everything that needs to be done, we are quickly feeling overstimulated. This pressure should not impact the people who need us here and in Germany, and, of course, it shouldn’t come at the cost of our own health.
Decision
We have therefore made some decisions to help make the move a bit easier. We have found someone who can handle the move for us and bring all our belongings to our new residence (fourth floor, no elevator).
The White Van
We have also prayed and carefully considered what to do about our white van. Registering it locally, re-importing the Polish/Dutch vehicle into Germany, obtaining car insurance, and securing a parking permit are complicated and under significant time pressure (if not done within two weeks, fines apply). This causes us undue stress and takes away from our time for our target groups and our own well-being.
For these reasons, we have decided to try selling the bus in Poland and purchasing another vehicle in Germany with German license plates and inspection approval. Unfortunately, this does involve additional costs, and we are nearly reaching the financial limit. This is the same budget we use for our projects, and this is putting a considerable dent in it. Therefore, we would like to ask if you could help cover these one-time expenses.
The costs are as follows:
Moving expenses: €2,000
Purchase of a new vehicle in Germany: €1,500
