Upside down
“I didn’t know how to start with the roots, I knew the crown, so I started there. It includes my children, my husband, my family, dear friends, the things I like to do and enjoy…”
“And suddenly I realized that that’s the ground I’m standing on. So I turned the tree. The crown with all the branches has become the ground and the roots. And the roots, that has become the crown with the blue sky. The branches are still bare there, but that’s because it’s winter now. It will start to grow leaves again in the spring.”
She looks at her drawing gratefully. Tenderly, she runs her hand over the roots in the ground and thinks of all the loved ones around her.
