Sliding and dragging stuff… Thanks!
Today (Sunday) was a workday. What? On Sunday? Yep…
Because on Sunday there are (also) church services, and someone has to run the sound, operate the projector, make sure the stage is set up… and although we were able to set most things up on Friday, today was still a workday. Everything has to be “on” before the first musicians arrive, and that doesn’t happen without some “help.” Not to mention everything being ready before all the guests arrive.

Preparations at home on Thursday from 12:00 to 15:00, Friday from 16:00 to 20:00, and working on Sunday from 08:45 to 13:00.
Total: 11 hours and 15 minutes. And it’s actually a bit more, because once we’re home, everything has to be cleaned up again… and it doesn’t magically fly back into the right cabinets, boxes, and storage covers…
And we weren’t alone… there were more volunteers working very hard behind the scenes…

For that reason, we thank everyone we come across in any kind of volunteer work as much as we can. There are so many of them, so much happens behind the scenes…
When was the last time you thanked the people behind the scenes for all their hard work? Maybe next week, you can do it again, but extra? They put in days of work… without it being noticed, but without them… it would be very quiet in the church, clubhouse, or sports club. Come on, find a volunteer and thank them extra, put them in the spotlight in a positive way.
And tomorrow? Tomorrow, we have a day off, and we’re taking a little break.
