Kniepertjes and Jenga!
This week, we used Jenga and a traditional New Year’s custom from Drenthe (province in the Netherlands) to connect with one of our target groups.
Starting a conversation can be tough for some people. Just approaching a stranger can be pretty scary. But when someone’s baking “kniepertjes” (they smell and taste amazing!) and has a game set up to play, it makes it much easier to have great conversations—“playfully” so!
It smells wonderful, tastes great, and invites conversation and sharing recipes. 🙂

And we also brought Jenga along.
We had an alternative version, too, with questions and answers (if desired). That also helps kick off introductions, conversations that actually go somewhere, and you have a lot of fun with it!

All in all, it was a great day—met a lot of new people, made plans to get to know each other better, and it was more than successful!
