Anyone who has ever spoken with a homeless person knows: life on the streets leaves deep marks. Not only visible, but also tangible and… noticeable by smell. The lack of a shower, a towel, or even just a bar of soap often keeps people at a distance, even though what they really need is closeness.
We want to change that. Starting today, we are distributing gift vouchers that allow homeless people to take a shower at a fixed location. We cover the cost: access to the shower and the essentials—towel, soap, and shampoo.
A shower may seem like a small thing, but for someone who hasn’t had the chance to wash for days, it means a fresh start. It restores dignity and opens doors for conversations, for healing, and for hope.
