Can you help?

The retreats we offer for missionaries who could use some rest (or more…) are going well on this side of the globe, and in the coming period we are fully booked. The bill is paid for them for their stay and the program; therefore it costs them nothing. Yes, they can make a donation if they can (to give you an idea, the program costs around 700 Euro per week), but they don’t have to.

The problem is that most can’t afford it. We also notice it on this side, our expenses increase every month, but the income… anything but. And it’s not just us that suffers from this, but also the people who come here on for the retreat we want to offer to them.

Then we have two choices: either we no longer let them come for a retreat, or we ask if there is someone who would like to pay part of the bill together with others. We choose to let them come for a retreat. If we think that their work is important (and we do think so) and we would like it if they could keep up their work, including mentally keep doing it for a longer period of time, then we just let them come, pay the bill and trust that it will be paid. So, here’s the question: can you help us to help them?
