Where do we take guests, and why?

When we host guests for our retreats for missionaries and pastors, we usually have one day of sessions followed by a “rest” day. This gives our guests time to reflect on everything and makes the entire program much more effective, as we’ve discovered. Like the Dutch saying goes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”

Another great thing about the “rest” day is that we sometimes join our guests on visits to the local sights. While walking, exploring, and experiencing, we can reflect on the discussions from the day before in a relaxed atmosphere if they feel like it. It’s astonishing what kinds of topics come up while calmly watching the rhinos. 🙂

So, where do we go in Schwerin? The tips range from the beautiful Schwerin Castle to the Lenin statue, the zoo, the open-air museum, and much more.
