What was the theme of this week?

You might have noticed: the German (and Dutch) blogs sometimes appear in a different order than the English ones. That’s intentional.

We also use our blogs as a reference for clients. Let’s say we have a conversation with someone today (let’s call him “Max Munsterman”) and he asks about a topic we can’t immediately address. Then afterwards, we write a blog or Bible study that Max can read quietly at home.

Sometimes we’ve already covered that topic in another language. In that case, we translate it and publish it online, so we can refer to it right away.

If you follow our blogs regularly, you might notice certain themes coming up more often. That’s especially evident in the German blogs right now. You don’t even have to read between the lines.

  • Geistliche Kriegsführung? Was ist das, und gibt es sie wirklich? (August 5, 2025)
English: “Spiritual warfare, what is it and does it exist?”
  • Böse Geister… (August 6, 2025)
    English: “Evil spirits…”
  • Dämonische Besessenheit (August 8, 2025)
    English: “Demonic possessions”

Do you see the pattern? Around August 5 to 8, that theme (let’s just call it “topic X”) suddenly became very relevant on the German side.

But there’s more.

That same topic X also came up shortly afterwards in eight (!) different conversations with eight different people. All of them unrelated, they didn’t even know each other. And while it was a new or tense topic for them, it wasn’t for us anymore. Everything was already prepared: studied, written out, translated, and published.

As if Someone knew beforehand that we would be talking with all those people about topic X. As if that same Someone had already made sure we had the right words, explanations, and Bible studies ready.

Coincidence?

“The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.” – Proverbs 16:33 (NASB)

“The mind of a person plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” – Proverbs 16:9 (NASB)

Now you also understand why you might suddenly see a series of articles appearing around one specific theme. And why, during such times, more blogs may go online than usual. We didn’t plan it that way. And certainly not that perfectly.

Someone other than us is doing the planning, and He’s doing it far better than we ever could.
