Translating… what a job…
We have to translate almost everything we do into another language. If it is not from Dutch to Russian, then it is from English to Dutch or vice versa. And then add some Polish here and there, and the “party” is complete.
It is no different with the Podcast we record. We often have a guest from (for example) the Netherlands, but then we also have to record the same podcast in English.

Sometimes we do this together with the Dutch-speaking guest, other times we write everything out in English and then record it ourselves in English. It almost always works the other way around because we have not yet met an American who also spoke Dutch, so we have to convert the interview to Dutch ourselves and then do the interview again ourselves. 🙂 Today was one of those days.
What’s even more fun, by the way, is to conduct an interview on topic X with a Dutchman and then find someone from America and ask them exactly the same questions. Then you immediately have two points of view from two different worlds of thought that are more than worth comparing. It’s always a great moment for ourselves to learn from others, what they think about it, especially if they come from a different culture. More than interesting and fascinating.
And yes, this article has also been translated from Dutch… 🙂
