Small stuff…
A Dutch proverb says: “Most of the time is spent measuring and adjusting.”
And in our work, it’s no different. After the last event, a cable broke that we need to “quickly” fix today (which, of course, starts with a trip to the store for a tiny part…), and we’re also “quickly” putting together a little jar filled with encouraging Bible verses for the men’s group and the therapy group we lead each week.

Meanwhile, today we’re also working on closing the books for the previous period, noticing something odd on the credit card statements, and making calls to the bank. Once it’s done, no one really notices — but it still took more than a full workday to sort it out. (Not to mention the stress that comes with some of it…) It’s all part of the job and necessary to achieve a good and stable result.
Luke 14:28 “For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? 29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who are watching it will begin to ridicule him, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build, and was not able to finish!’”
