Saying goodbye….

We have been back in Poland for a week now and the Netherlands seems to be on another planet so far away. And how you can miss people so much…

This week we spoke to X. She has not seen her husband for a year. She lives as a refugee temporarily(?) here in the city, her husband is not allowed to leave the country (Ukraine) because men are not allowed to leave the country.. Men have to serve their country, either with a weapon in hand, or earn money to keep the economy going, etc.

And oh… what are we still whining about? Not being able to see your husband for a whole year, often not even knowing how he is doing… can you imagine? That must be terrible.

It reminded me of the following bible verse:

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

Revelation 21:4

Can’t wait… just a little while longer…just a few more years… and until then, we’ll rely on that and keep pushing. For His glory by helping others. Easy? No. But it’s so nice to be able to it, with the help from all of you.
