Psalm 1

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand in the way of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and in His law he meditates day and night. (1-2)

The consequences of what you focus on, of what you allow to nourish you, are enormous.

Do you feed yourself with the living Word? With God’s truth? With His law?
Then there is fruit; your leaves do not wither, and whatever you do prospers. (3)

Do you feed yourself with human wisdom? Do you rely on what others think and believe?
Then you will dry up, and you will be blown away without bearing fruit. (4)

The Lord knows the way of the righteous. (6)
