Presentation smuggling bibles in the 80s
M’s mom and dad are visiting this week, and tomorrow they’ve been asked to talk about their 1980s adventures in a Ukrainian church in the city. What were they doing at that time? They smuggled Bibles to (among other places) what was then called the Eastern Bloc. Traveling with quite a few risks from a human point of view, but they have never had any “hassle” or felt unsafe. Never.
Why? This is why:
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:27
Today we put together the presentation and tomorrow at 18.00 we have the chance to encourage the refugees from Ukraine with the same text… (Prayer is welcome because everything has to be translated from Dutch to Russian, among other things)
