I store everything in my heart.
In the therapy group, we focus on the heart. The heart pumps blood through your body, brings food and oxygen to the cells, and removes waste products. It is, as it were, the engine of your body. We also look at Proverbs 4:23. It states:
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” What do you keep in your heart? What does your heart look like on the inside?
She starts drawing, all small areas, all different colors. She talks about it:
“I store everything in my heart, absolutely everything, even the things that may not belong there at all. Beautiful things, but also difficult and bad things. Actually, I would like to remove some things from my heart, create more space…”
And so she has gained more insight into how her heart is filled, and she can make decisions about how she wants to move forward. An assignment that provides more insight and makes concrete steps visible for the future.
