Hunched over and trapped
In the therapy group, we are working on insecurity and certainty. What do they look like, what impact do they have on you, and how do they affect you?
This week, we are focusing on the effects of insecurity.
This is being represented using clay and another chosen material.
Hunched over,
Trapped,
Trying to protect herself,
No room to move.
Retreating into herself.
Insecurity allows her no space. In an attempt to protect herself, she tucks her head between her knees. Not seeing, not being seen, disappearing into a tiny corner. Trapped, unable to escape.
She shares her representation and explains what happens to her when she feels insecure.
While speaking, she notices that her head is still free. Her arms and legs can’t move, as they are trapped.
‘Maybe I should lift my head and look around me…
Could that be a way out when I feel trapped by insecurity?’
Something to try!
