That is today’s method. Keep drawing until all empty spaces are gone.
And not with pen or pencil, but with ink and quill pen!
A new material and a new technique require a lot of concentration and attention. And soon it becomes quiet in the therapy room. Only pens on the paper can be heard.
They have chosen a theme from a stack of cards: certainty, joy, empathy, stability, gratitude, etc. They have written the word on their sheet, and they are drawing around it.
Focused on the pen and on the theme.

Because the exercise requires so much concentration and focus, the world around them disappears.
And that is exactly the purpose of the exercise! Breaking free from the grind of everyday life, from the problems, worries and questions they have. Relax through exercise.
We also focus on that in the follow-up discussion – did you realize what happened?
And this is what you can use in your daily life! When your head is spinning with questions, worries and problems and you can’t let go and relax, you can do this: draw and fill all empty space with shapes, structures, lines. Completely focus on something else, so that your head can let go of the rest for a while. In this way you find a point of calm in the hurricane of thoughts. Your head has time to recover and get out of its circle of thoughts. And so new thoughts can arise and even new solutions can be found.
Because who doesn’t recognize that? Struggling with a problem at work, and you can’t seem to find the solution.
You go for a walk during lunch or make a cup of coffee and when you come back to your workplace you suddenly come up with the solution!
