Baptism gift

Every Saturday morning we come together to do crafts. Not just for fun, but for various “clients,” making small gifts and/or cards to give away. The purpose is focused on discipleship and evangelism.

For example, we made cards and a small gift (thanks to J!) for new baptized believers.
In this case, it was for people who have made a conscious choice to follow Jesus in their lives, who believe that Jesus is the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead. New Christians are baptized in water, going under as a sign that they have died to their old life and rise with Jesus into a new life.

For the gifts and flower cards, we marbled paper. This technique involves dropping diluted printing ink onto the surface of water. The paper is then submerged in the water, picking up the ink floating on the surface. When the paper is lifted out of the water, it is fully colored.

A beautiful image of what happens in baptism!

The Bible verse we included is from Romans 6:4 (NASB):

“Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.”

Along with the text:
*”Today you are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Your old life is over, and your new life has begun.

Just as you were immersed in the water, this paper was also dipped into the water. And as it came up out of the water, it absorbed all the colors that were on the water.

Let all the colors of Christ also become visible in your life in this way.”*

Another beautiful project completed!
