Жатва
Last Sunday, we celebrated Жатва (pronounced ‘zhatva’) in the Russian-speaking church. In Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, this is the celebration of the harvest season. It was also our final visit to this church in Poznan…
During the Жатва celebration, there are sermons and music focused on gratitude. Fruits, vegetables, and grains are brought to the church and displayed there. After the service, there is a shared meal with traditional dishes, giving us the opportunity to celebrate the year and the harvest together.
For us, it was the last time we were there—a moment of gratitude as well…

A moment to say goodbye and to enjoy once more all the people we have had the pleasure of getting to know there.
And now, a question for you, the reader… how many pastries do you see in this photo? Take a guess! And how does this compare to our own personal gratitude?

Each cake you see in the photo represents one person… During our time in Poznan, we’ve had around 350 different clients for therapy sessions. We feel grateful, tremendously blessed, and deeply dependent on God for all He has done during this beautiful time in Poland.
What a great picture and sentiment for all the wonderful service for the Lord you both did in Poland! So proud of you! And we are praying for God to continue to do great things in and through and around you in Germany! Eyes on Jesus!
Thanks brother!
